Many aspects of every citizen’s daily life are controlled or influenced by Informatics: our society depends in many ways on (tele)communication, computing, and storage. But many citizens (independent of background or education) are challenged by the ramifications caused by Informatics.
We include under the umbrella “Informatics” related areas like robotics, networking, computer linguistics, data/image/video analysis, search, and generation.
The Swiss Informatics Foundation supports activities to broaden the knowledge of Informatics in the general population of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The foundation provides funding or co-funding for such activities, it does not undertake them on its own.
